Once reverse gear is engaged, ultrasound sensors mounted in your rear bumper measure the distance to the nearest obstacle behind your Saab. Any object within 1.8m triggers an acoustic pulse that is transmitted through your audio system. As you move closer to the object, the frequency of the pulse increases until you are just 30cm away. Then the pulse changes to a continuous tone, alerting you that you’re the perfect distance away from any obstacle.
